CT Scan
A guide for patients and carers
Can anyone be with me during the scan?
Because the CT scan uses x-rays, no one else can be in the room whilst the pictures are being taken. However, you can speak to the staff outside the room by the intercom and staff outside the room will be able to speak to you. There will also be a closed circuit TV to enable staff to monitor you while you are on the couch.
