Brain and Spine Helpline
The Brain and Spine Helpline is a service run by neuroscience nurses and other health professionals. The helpline covers all brain and spine conditions, from fairly common to the very rare, and can offer information and support on any medical or related social and emotional issues of concern. You can also contact the helpline if you require a copy of one of our booklets or leaflets, alternatively they can be downloaded free of charge. We can also provide additional information appropriate to your specific needs. The Brain and Spine Helpline is a member of the Telephone Helplines Association.

The Brain and Spine Helpline is a free and confidential service, open from Monday – Thursday 9am-2pm and on Friday from 9am-1pm.

What we can do:
- Discuss all aspects of neurological conditions.
- Explain neurological/medical terms and services.
- Provide hard copies of the Brain and Spine Foundation’s booklets.
- Signpost individuals to further sources of information and support.
- Assist you in making an informed choice or decision.
- Provide additional information on issues and conditions which are not covered in our booklets.
What we can’t do:
- Diagnose.
- Recommend or refer you to particular doctors or practitioners.
- Act on behalf of an individual or provide evidence for legal cases.
- Offer any clinical consultations/appointments.
- Provide financial assistance for any individuals in need of medical treatment/equipment/social support.
