Make a gift of some shares
Did you know that by donating shares to the Brain and Spine Foundation, UK taxpayers can save time and money?
Share giving can be one of the most tax effective ways to give money to the Brain and Spine Foundation.
Whether you have one share or 10,000 shares to give away, these can be of benefit to the Foundation either by donating them to us direct if you have a large number or, if you only have a few shares by donating them via ShareGIFT - the charity share donation scheme.
For higher rate tax payers there is a double tax benefit - gifts of shares are exempt from Capital Gains Tax and donors can also claim Income Tax relief.

Give your tax refund to charity
If you are completing a self assessment tax return, you can nominate a charity to receive any tax refund you are due. The donation will go direct to the chosen charity’s bank account.
The scheme is open to UK taxpayers only.
The Government will treat this refund as a Gift Aid donation if you have ticked the box provided. This means that the Brain and Spine Foundation will get 28p more for every pound donated – at no extra cost to you.
This scheme is a real opportunity for charities to benefit from a new source of tax efficient donations.
