Over 14, 000 people compete in this spectacular event which takes in the beautiful Scottish coastline, Edinburgh Castle and an extinct volcano! If the full marathon doesn't appeal to you, why not split the distance 4 ways and enter a team for the Hairy Haggis Relay?

There are 2 ways to take part in this fabulous event:

• The public ballot is currently open until Jan 15th but demand for ballot places is very high so apply ASAP by following this link: http://www.edinburgh-marathon.com/?categories If you are lucky enough to obtain your own place, please contact us. Obviously, you are not tied to a minimum sponsorship amount but your support, however small, can make a real difference.
• Should you be unsuccesful in the ballot, we have a limited number of guaranteed entries until 8 May 2009. All we ask is that you pledge to raise £500 in sponsorship. For further details, please contact Sarah Himelfield  or call the Brain and Spine Foundation on 0207 793 5913.
